About JBird Design
As a team, we are a lot of things. We're passionate. We're hungry for knowledge. We're also pretty laid back. But most importantly, we are professionals, and we want to help you succeed.
JBird Design has been together since 2008, initially meeting each other as partners at Starbucks in Athens, GA. We've learned our individual strengths and weaknesses and deal with each others' idiosyncrasies so we can work together in a production environment. We're devoted to serving in our local community, helping small businesses and non-profit organizations realize their potential, and brewing a really good cup of coffee.
The Team
Jordan Burke
Front End Developer (He makes things work)
Jordan has been at home with computers since he was 5 years old. With his dad being a high school Computer/High Technology teacher, his first experience came with learning his way around an Apple IIe. From there his interest grew into the DOS command line on a 386, and he started playing around with HTML in Frontpage when he was in middle school. He let his skills lapse as he went through high school and college, but rediscovered a love for coding after wandering through the coursework for a history degree.
He can now be found reading, watching Sci-fi shows or movies, playing video games, or hanging out with his fiance.
Eric Horan
Interface and Application Designer (He makes things look good)
Eric was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, and has lived in Athens for a few years now. His passions include graphic design, art, and art history.
Mary Mealor
Business Management (She keeps us on time and in the black)
Mary has an Associates of Applied Science in Marketing Management with Retail Department Management Specialization as well as a Bachelors of Business Administration in Marketing. What does all that mean? It means she's got the right stuff to make your business capture new customers and grow. The fact that she likes puzzles just gives her more incentive to figure out new and interesting ways to showcase your business.
She also enjoys the local music scene in Athens, as well as outdoor activities like camping out and fishing.
